The Tokyo Marathon Foundation is pleased to announce that current World Record Holder (2hr3min59sec), Haile Gebrselassie (ETH) will be participating in the 5th Tokyo Marathon held on February 27th 2011 as one of the invited athletes.

Mr. Gebrselassie commented: "Thank you very much for inviting me to the Tokyo Marathon. I am looking forward to seeing everyone in Tokyo in February 2011."
The other invited athletes will be announced approximately one month before the event.
