(Planned Activity)

Enhancing the Family House facilities.

Tokyo, with a large concentration of hospitals specializing in advanced medical care, attracts children with serious diseases from all over Japan, who often stay in hospital for weeks, months and sometimes more to battle their diseases. For them, family support is absolutely essential, as the best medicine is a smile on the face of a family member.
In reality, however, families are not allowed to stay in the hospital with their children. And to stay in regular accommodations, financial distress would become paramount above the physical and psychological distress of having a sickchild in the family.
We are adding more "family houses" where the families of gravely sick children can stay comfortably near the children and, when the children are permitted to stay out of the hospital, spend quality time together. Also planned are quality enhancements and expansion of existing houses.

(Planned Activity)

Providing kids camps and camp facilities.

There are reportedly about 200,000 children battling cancer, heart diseases and other serious illnesses in Japan. They are forced to fight long and painful battles against diseases and are often denied the opportunities to experience outdoor activities. We are giving these children the unique chance to participate in nature programs offered at medically-supervised camp sites (kid's camps), so that they can escape into nature while distracting them from their diseases and medical treatments. We hope that all participants – the children and their families – will enjoy the experiences filled with smiles, build long-lasting memories and renew hope and courage to live on.
※This activity will be carried out in cooperation with Solaputi Kids' Camp, a public interest incorporated foundation.
