[Application period] 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2012, to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 31, 2013.
[Amount] Any amount (in increments of \10,000 to simplify administration)
[Application method] Please e-mail to KNT Tokyo Marathon Entry desk.
[Payment method] Bank transfer or credit card *Payments from corporations must be by bank transfer.
[Notes]
(1) Donations can be earmarked for one of the 11 organizations’ programs in the six themes. However, participating organizations’ programs may change due to natural disaster, war, suspension, or other unforeseen factors.

(2) Both corporations and individuals can make donations.

(3) Donations are nonrefundable.

(4) We cannot issue a receipt for donations. After you register, we will e-mail you instructions for submitting your donation (i.e., how to provide the bank account for the transfer). Please understand that we will not individually prepare and issue any other written instructions, including receipts.

(5) A receipt for your donation will be issued by the participating organization you selected. When this is sent will depend on when you apply.

For credit card payments:
If you make a donation by Wednesday, October 31, 2012, your receipt will be dated for 2012. For donations sent after the above date, the receipt will be dated for 2013.

For bank transfer payments:
If you send a donation to the designated bank account by Monday, December 17, 2012, your receipt will be dated for 2012. If your donation is sent after the above date, the receipt will be dated for 2013.

(6) Please understand that the personal information you provide when you make your donation will be used by the participating organization to send you a receipt and by the Tokyo Marathon Foundation to send you information.

(7) The results of these charity programs and how donations were used by each organization will be announced later on the Tokyo Marathon's official website.

● Charity runners
[Application period] 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2012, to the followings.
November 30 2012, 5pm for those who apply through KNT Tokyo Marathon Entry Desk (E-mail: tm2013@or.knt.co.jp)
[Capacity] 3,000 runners (first-come, first-served)
* The application period may end earlier based on the judgment of the organizer.
[Eligibility]
(1) Those who have applied to donate \100,000 or more to the charity programs and wish to participate in the Tokyo Marathon 2013 (individuals and corporations)

(2)  Those who will be 19 years old or older on the date of the Tokyo Marathon 2013.

(3) Men and women who can finish the marathon in less than six hours and forty minutes (for runners with disabilities who have difficulty running by themselves, an escort runner can run with them).

(4) In addition, the application guidelines and regulations for ordinary runners will be applied mutatis mutandis.

* The participation fee is the same as regular runners.

[Notes]
(1) If payment is not received by the due date, the charity runner application will be void.

(2) The participation fee is nonrefundable. Incidentally, if charity programs or the Tokyo Marathon are cancelled due to any reason for which the organizer is not responsible, the participation fee will not be returned.

(3) Transfer statements or the payment receipts issued by financial institutions must serve as participation fee receipts.

(4) Before participating in the Tokyo Marathon, make sure to pay attention to your health by training sufficiently and undergoing a medical health exam.

(5) A Charity Runner T-shirt will be sent to all charity runners. Please wear this T-shirt in the Tokyo Marathon to promote these charitable programs.

[Notes for application by corporations]
(1) For these charity programs, "corporations" mean organizations whose juridical personality has been authorized through certain procedures in compliance with relevant laws. Therefore, organizations lacking a juridical personality, such as alumni associations, labor unions, various social groups and runners clubs, are not eligible to apply.

(2) The maximum number of charity runners a corporate application can have is 100.
* Each corporation can only enter once; therefore, careful attention should be given at the time of the application.

* Application example
¥200,000 donation: 1 or 2 charity runners can participate.
¥1,000,000 donation: 1–10 charity runners can participate.
We cannot issue a receipt for donations. After you register, we will e-mail you instructions for submitting your donation (i.e., how to provide the bank account for the transfer). Please understand that we will not individually prepare and issue any other written instructions, including receipts.

(3) When running as a charity runner, activities that are incompatible with the sponsors of the Tokyo Marathon 2013 are prohibited. If any such activities are carried out, participation will be cancelled and any future applications to participate in the Tokyo Marathon may not be allowed.

* Examples of incompatible activities:
(i) Use of statements
(Example of prohibited statements) "XXX Co., Ltd. supports the Tokyo Marathon."

(ii) Advertisement activities on the site or the Tokyo Marathon course.
(Example of prohibited activities) Runners wearing a shirt bearing a design or logo that indicates a company's name or product, or use of a similar banner, etc.

(iii) Use of the Tokyo Marathon logo
(Example of prohibited use) Using the Tokyo Marathon's name or logo to report donation activities to the Tokyo Marathon

(iv) Use of Tokyo Marathon materials
(Example of prohibited use) Using pictures and videos of the Tokyo Marathon to promote a corporation
